FAILED SYSTEM TEST IS SONIA KILLMANN & AIDAN LOCHRIN
Failed System Test is a Belgian-Scottish electonic duo consisting of Sonia Killmann and Aidan Lochrin.
The duo create live, ambient soundscapes with a glitchy beat-driven undercurrent; drawing from electronica, field recordings, jazz, & noisy, ever-evolving drones. Their music is structured around existing frameworks, but is always performed with elements of improvisation.
Failed System Test has shared the stage with Cucina Povera, Montreal’s Jason Sharp (Constellation), and mythic synth duo Ultramarine (Realsoon). To date, Failed System Test have released 2 EPs, as well as several standalone sets, including 2020’s {unshift} (Dead Hound Records), and are featured on Edinburgh Imprint Blackford Hill Audio’s “Peace and Plenty” compilation.
